UTH students on an educational trip to Japan
13 students of Interior Design at UTH participated in an educational trip to Japan. The students were accompanied by architect Tsutomu Nozaki (UTH), who also served as a juror in the architectural competition for the design of the Polish Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai.
The trip included: participation in EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai, workshops at Aichi Shukutoku University in Nagoya (presentation of projects and exchange of experiences with Japanese students from the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of International Culture), visits to historical and contemporary architectural sites in Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya, a visit to the studio of the eminent architect Tadao Ando and participation in his lecture.
Let's Go Global! – International Day at UTH
The Jutrzenka Campus was filled with colours, smiles and sweets. UTH students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of international opportunities offered by our university. In an inspiring and friendly atmosphere, we talked about:
- how to go abroad with the Erasmus+ programme (semester mobility, BIPs),
- how to participate in international conferences and academic events,
- how to develop your language and cultural skills.
There were also interactive attractions: quizzes, language games and fun activities, small gifts and a sweet surprise for each participant.
Participation in the international BIP TEPS programme
Civil engineering students, together with their lecturer Dr Ania Wytrykowska, took part in the international BIP TEPS (Blended Intensive Programme – Towards Enhanced Pedestrian Safety) programme at the Universidade da Beira Interior - UBI in Covilhã (Portugal).
The Erasmus+ programme focused on improving pedestrian safety in urban areas. Dr Wytrykowska gave lectures on pedestrian crossing lighting and crossing safety audits in Warsaw, sharing her knowledge and experience with participants from other universities in Poland, Croatia, Slovenia and Portugal. The intensive workshops also included field and group classes, case studies and practical design exercises.
Europe Day at the University of Technology and Economics
UTH students had the opportunity to learn more about the Erasmus+ programme and the offer of the UTH Foreign Language Centre. They also listened to a lecture entitled ‘Higher education in the European Era’ given by Dr Luminita Horhota from Universitatea Româno-Americană and took part in games, competitions and an interactive quiz on the European Union. We hope that thanks to this wonderful initiative, even more of our students will decide to explore Europe through the Erasmus+ programme or international internships and work placements.
UTH representation at the 3rd International Air Force Cadets' Week
UTH students had a unique opportunity to represent Poland during the 3rd International Air Force Cadets' Week, organised by the Bulgarian Air Force Academy ‘Georgi Benkovski’. This year's edition was attended by 32 participants from abroad, representing the United States, Romania, Poland, Greece, Vietnam and Portugal.
We encourage all UTH students to participate in international mobility programmes – both as part of the Erasmus+ programme and through participation in conferences, projects and thematic weeks organised by partner universities around the world! Because student life is great, and international student life is even better!
2nd International Scientific Conference ‘The multidimensionality of cybersecurity. Hate speech in the cyberworld’
The conference was addressed to scientists, researchers and practitioners dealing with the issues of cybersecurity, law and hate speech, as well as representatives of public institutions, non-governmental organisations, the media and all those interested in these issues. The event was held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and remote participation, including a large group of guests from Cyprus, the Czech Republic, India, Latvia, Ukraine, the USA and Italy, among others.
Study visit to KIIT (India)
The trip to India marked a new and exciting chapter in the history of international cooperation at the University of Technology and Economics. Represented by Rector Dr Justyna Żylińska, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr Krzysztof Półtorak, Prof. UTH, and the Head of the Department of International Initiatives and Partnerships, Emilia Suchodolska, our delegation gladly accepted the invitation of the Founder, Dr. Achyut Samanta, and Dr. Varun Suthra from KIIT – Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and KISS – Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences.
